Religious Education/Doctrina
The Cathedral's Religious Education recongnizes that parents are the primary educators of their children in the faith and seeks to assist the parents in this responsibility.

Preparing for First Confession and First Communion
Students attend two years of Religious Education in order to prepare for First Confession and First Communion. During this time, they grow closer to Jesus and learn about the Sacraments. Students typically begin the preparation process in First Grade.

Preparing for Confirmation
Young people preparing for Confirmation participate in the liturgy, attend a retreat, participate in the corporal and spiritual works of mercy, and complete 12 catechetical courses that help them grow in the knowledge of their faith. The 12 courses are Theology of Confirmation, Old Testament, New Testament, The Creed, The Sacraments, Foundations of Morality, Morality and the Ten Commandments, Prayer, Apologetics and 3 electives, such as Theology of the Body, What's Really So Special about Mass?, and The Local Church: The Cathedral of the Epiphany.
