A native of Remsen, Iowa, Father Andrew Galles grew up as the youngest of seven children on his family farm. After attending parochial school for twelve years at Remsen St. Mary, he went on to study for a Bachelors in Architecture at Iowa State University in Ames.
After graduation, Fr. Galles attended minor seminary at Conception Seminary College in Missouri, where he earned a Bachelors in Philosophical and Theological Studies. He went on to attend major seminary at St. John Vianney Theological Seminary in Denver, where he earned his Bachelors in Sacred Theology.
He was ordained on June 3, 2017, at the Cathedral of the Epiphany.
Besides being one of the Parochial Vicars of Cathedral Parish, Fr. Galles is also the diocesan Director of Worship and Episcopal Master of Ceremonies to Bishop R. Walker Nickless.
Aside from Fr. Galles’ previous service at Cathedral Parish, he has also served at Mater Dei Parish in Morningside.
