- At the Cathedral of the Epiphany, we hold the sacrament of marriage in high regard and encourage couples to prepare adequately. Marriage preparation should commence 9-12 months before the wedding day, allowing ample time for preparation. Here are the steps to follow:
  
  Fill Out the Marriage Form: Please fill out the form below and ensure that you provide a different email address for each party.
  
  Schedule a Meeting with Fr. David Esquiliano: After submitting the form, schedule a meeting at this link.
  
  Marriage preparation will include three different aspects:
  
  Marriage Preparation: This may be done online or with a sponsor couple.
  
  Natural Family Planning (NFP): This involves learning about a morally acceptable approach to family planning based on the woman’s fertility cycle. Different options are available both in person and online.
  
  Meetings with a Priest or Deacon: After completing an online test, a series of meetings will be scheduled with a priest or deacon. For this reason, we need separate email addresses for each party.
  
  We strongly recommend reviewing our Wedding Policies and Guidelines. This will help you understand the requirements and expectations for your wedding day.
  
  Please note that submitting the form does not guarantee a reservation for your desired wedding date. The date will be confirmed after meeting with Fr. Esquiliano.
  
  We also encourage you to get involved in our parish community by registering at Parish Registration and donating your time, talent, and treasure.

  The Diocese of Sioux City requires that the couple first approaches the parish 9-12 months before the wedding.
  By giving us a date in this form the Cathedral Parish is not commiting to celebrating your wedding on that date, but it gives our staff an idea of what you have in mind.
  Once you meet with Fr. Esquiliano, he may be able to give you a more realistic target date based on different situations we may need to work on.
