As disciples of Jesus, Catholics strive to grow in knowledge of the person and message of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Past Adult Faith Formation opportunities at the Cathedral have included Ascension Press Bible studies, Bishop Robert Barron studies, 33 Days to Morning Glory, and a retreat for the Year of Mercy.
Quite early on, the name catechesis was given to the totality of the Church's efforts to make disciples, to help men believe that Jesus is the Son of God so that believing they might have life in his name, and to educate and instruct them in this life, thus building up the body of Christ* (CCC 4).

This year we are running two programs for Lent. If you would like to sign up for any of them, please use the form at the bottom of this page.
Join Deacon Bruce Chartier in a Bible study during this upcoming Lent.
The program will follow the Divine Mercy in the Second Greatest Story Ever Told Program. It consists of 10 seasons starting February 15th, and running through April 19th. The meetings will be at the Cathedral Parish Hall from 6:30 to 8 PM.
Do you live a busy life but want to grow closer to God? Would you like to get away for a retreat but don’t have the time? Then take an opportunity this Lent to make a busy person’s retreat! Participants will pray 30-60 minutes a day with assigned Scripture passages. There will be a weekly study about spirituality from the Bible (if possible, this will be in-person with proper precautions taken and pandemic permitting). There are also options 1) to participate virtually and 2) to share graces with other participants. For more information contact Fr. Jeremy (712-255-1637 ext. 110).
