The Cathedral of the Epiphany, a vibrant and diverse parish in Sioux City, IA, is seeking a passionate and dedicated full-time Director of Sacred Music. This position offers the unique opportunity to lead and inspire our community through the beauty of sacred music in both English and Spanish Masses.
Key Responsibilities:

• Liturgical Music Coordination: Plan and execute sacred music for Masses, including both English and Spanish Masses.
• Choral Leadership: Direct and oversee the Cathedral’s choral programs, including adult and children’s choirs, ensuring high-quality music for Episcopal and school liturgies.
• Special Liturgies: Plan, coordinate, and execute music for weddings, funerals, and other special liturgies, enriching these significant moments with appropriate and beautiful music.
• Musician Management: Schedule and coordinate musicians and choirs for all liturgical events, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.

Qualifications:

• Faithful Catholic: A practicing Catholic with a deep appreciation for the liturgical and musical traditions of the Church.
• Bilingual Skills: Proficiency in both English and Spanish to effectively communicate and serve our diverse parish community.
• Educational Background: A Master’s degree in Sacred Music or Choral Conducting is highly desirable.
• Professional Skills: Excellent communication and organizational abilities, with a proven track record of successful program leadership and development.
